What kind of material do you use?

Genuine USA made Biothane®. It’s a polyester webbing with a TPU or PVC coating that makes it more durable, waterproof, and easy to clean. The PVC coated material looks and feels just like real leather, but is so much better than leather.

Why is your material better than leather?

Our material is more durable, cleanable, stronger and easier to maintain than leather. It will not crack like leather tends to. It also will not stink like leather does over time. Plus, it is available in different colors.

Is it made in the USA?

Yes, our material is manufactured by a trademark company located in North Ridgeville, Ohio in the USA. Our collars and leashes are all handmade in Addison, New York.

Does synthetic hurt the animals?

Not any more than leather! As long as you size the end product correctly it should never hurt your animal.

Will it smell if the animal gets wet?

No, all of our material is stinkproof.

​

How long will it last?

Under normal use, our material will long outlast leather and nylon.

Will it still work in cold weather?

Yes. Our material remains flexible and durable in cold weather.

 

Does it get sticky or tacky?

Under normal use it will not get sticky or tacky. It can get sticky or tacky if it is exposed to certain chemicals like DEET.

 

Will the material cause hot spots?

The material will only cause hot spots if the animal is not fitted properly with the correct size product.
